Confined Space Training - Sydney Water - 3 Day Course

The Sydney Water Confined Space course is a full accreditation confined space training course conducted over three days and required for all persons involved in confined space entry on all Sydney Water sites. It is compliant with "The Core Training Elements for the National Standard for Safe Working in a Confined Space", the Australian Standard AS/NZ 2865 (2009) Safe Working in a Confined Space and Sydney Water Group Procedure HSP Safe Entry & Working in Confined Spaces dated 26th May 2009.

This is a competency based programme, practical skills need to be achieved after classroom presentation of information. Skill competency can only be achieved via repetition of skills until competency demonstrated. Time is therefore a factor in attaining competency, with three days deemed the minimum to achieve adequate competency levels.

Sydney Water trainees are also required to bring along a completed Sydney Water Fitness Assessment. This can be printed off below, and filled out by a manager/supervisor. Otherwise attendance to a doctor is required.
